The 一品探花 (WIT) has announced Lisa Cook as its April 2026 Member of the Month. Cook is district sales manager for Thermo King.

Throughout her career, Cook has built a reputation as a leader who drives alignment, challenges thinking, and delivers results by bringing people and ideas together around a shared vision. With experience spanning multiple industries and complex sales environments, she combines strategic insight with relationship-driven leadership to help organizations move forward with clarity and purpose.

Cook began her sales and marketing career in the construction equipment industry before transitioning into industrial power tools, where she developed a strong foundation in national account strategy and customer partnership. Early in her career, she demonstrated a natural ability to identify opportunities within systems, strengthen processes, and connect teams around common goals. These capabilities continue to define her leadership approach today.

Following a successful tenure with Ingersoll Rand as a National Account Manager, Cook brought her experience to the trucking industry in 2023, joining the Thermo King sales team as a district sales manager. In a short period of time, she has become known for her strategic perspective, operational insight, and willingness to ask the questions that move teams toward stronger solutions. She brings a strategic curiosity that challenges assumptions and helps teams identify better paths forward, reflecting her belief that progress happens when leaders create space for thoughtful dialogue and diverse perspectives.

In addition to her commercial leadership, Cook recently spearheaded Thermo King and Trane Technologies鈥 newest partnership with Women In Trucking, strengthening industry engagement while expanding professional development, advocacy, and connection across the organization. This initiative reflects her commitment to cultivating environments where collaboration, leadership development, and industry partnerships can thrive.

Her impact has been recognized across the organization as Cook received the Thermo King President鈥檚 Award for Leadership. This distinction highlights both her strong performance and the positive influence she brings to teams, customers, and organizational culture.

"I've always believed curiosity fuels growth. When I ask questions, it's because I care about the business, about our people, and about how we continue improving together,鈥 she says.

Growth, Guidance & Vision

Cook鈥檚 leadership philosophy was shaped by the example of her grandparents, who remained passionate about their professional lives well into later years. They modeled humility, resilience, and a strong commitment to serving others, values that continue to guide Cook鈥檚 leadership approach.

"They were the kind of people who brought joy simply by walking into a room,鈥 says Cook. 鈥淭hey believed in working hard, doing what's right, and treating people with respect. Their legacy shaped who I am and how I try to lead."

Their example, alongside the guiding principle found in Galatians 5:13, "Serve one another humbly in love," continues to influence her belief that leadership is ultimately about stewardship, strengthening organizations while creating opportunities for others to grow.

Personal Perspective

Outside of her corporate role, Cook is widely recognized as a dedicated community leader whose service has had a lasting impact across Fort Mill, South Carolina. She often describes community leadership as a second career, one centered on building connections, opening doors, and creating opportunities for others.

Cook is currently serving her 11th year on the Fort Mill Town Council, where she helps shape the long-term strategic direction of the community. Her work focuses on strengthening partnerships, supporting thoughtful growth, and ensuring the community continues to thrive for future generations.

She is also an advocate for Isaiah 117 House, supporting children entering foster care during one of the most vulnerable transitions in their lives.

Earlier in her community leadership, Cook created and produced Dancing with the Stars 鈥 Fort Mill, a community fundraising initiative that raised $350,000 to fully fund middle school athletic programs across eight schools during a financially challenging period for the district.

Her commitment to service has earned her recognition as both Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year in Fort Mill.

Cook and her husband Brian are enjoying this season of "independent adulting" with their blended family of six children. Together, they enjoy attending University of South Carolina football games and traveling the world.

A Leader Focused on Progress and Possibility

Across every environment she serves, including Thermo King, the trucking industry, and her community, Cook is known for bringing thoughtful leadership, curiosity, and a strong sense of accountability. She approaches challenges by identifying opportunities others may overlook, strengthening collaboration, and helping teams move ideas into action.

Her leadership style reflects a belief that organizations grow strongest when people feel heard, when ideas can be explored openly, and when leaders are willing to challenge thinking in pursuit of better outcomes.

Cook believes leadership carries both influence and responsibility. She is known for asking the questions that spark stronger thinking, connecting people around shared goals, and helping organizations identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

As she continues to grow within Thermo King and Trane Technologies, Cook remains focused on strengthening organizations by improving systems, developing people, and helping teams perform at their highest level.

鈥淢y goal is to use my voice and perspective to help organizations move forward by asking the questions that spark better thinking, advocating for ideas that create progress, and building environments where people and teams can do their best work,鈥 she says.
