WIT Connections: Building a Strong Community Through Mentoring, Networking

At Women In Trucking (WIT), we believe that strong connections build strong careers鈥攁nd an even stronger community. That鈥檚 the vision behind the new , a platform designed to foster meaningful relationships among members鈥攚hether you鈥檙e just starting out in your career or have decades of experience under your belt.

WIT Connections gives you four powerful ways to get involved and grow:

  1. Networking Groups
  2. One-on-One Connections
  3. Connections: Unplugged
  4. Connections Mixers

Together, these opportunities can help our members learn from one another, find support, build a lasting network, and advance in their careers.

Networking Groups: Find Your Community

Networking Groups are member-driven communities built around common interests, regional ties, or industry topics. These groups provide a welcoming space to explore ideas, solve challenges, and support one another.

Each group is guided by a volunteer facilitator who helps coordinate meetings, initiate discussions, and create a space where all voices are valued. Groups meet regularly鈥攕ome monthly, others quarterly鈥攁nd are open to all members.

Here鈥檚 a look at some of the Networking Groups you can join today:

  • Career & Professional Development Group. Led by Jennifer Overmyer, Vice President, Mobile Drivers, Compliance, and Payroll with , this group supports members in navigating their careers, negotiating promotions, building confidence, and growing in male-dominated spaces.
  • Connecting with Peers Group. Facilitated by Jennifer Anderson, MBA, AIC and Founder/CEO of , this is an open monthly Zoom session for any member looking to share experiences and build new relationships across the trucking industry.
  • Midwest Group. Join Kris Cornellier, Business Development Manager with , to connect with fellow WIT members across the Midwest. This virtual group is exploring opportunities for in-person gatherings as well.
  • Wellness Group. Tanya Jolliffe, Founder and Provider of , leads this group focused on wellness both in and out of the truck. Topics range from physical health and nutrition to mental well-being and stress management.
  • Leadership in the Carolinas Group. WIT Image Team member Jerri Baez, Fleet Safety Manager for , brings women together to explore leadership potential through hands-on activities and real-world growth. No title needed鈥攋ust a desire to step into your strengths.

One-on-One Connections: Personalized Support, Real Impact

One-on-One Connections allows members to make individual connects that are personalized, flexible, and impactful. Whether you鈥檙e looking for advice, want to share your own experience, or just need someone who understands your unique path in the trucking industry, this program can help you meet the right person to learn from.

Powered by a secure and easy-to-use platform, WIT鈥檚 One-on-One Connections match members based on professional goals, experience level, and areas of interest. It鈥檚 not about formal mentorship鈥攊t鈥檚 about real conversations, shared experiences, and practical guidance.

Connections: Unplugged

Connections: Unplugged is an opportunity to meet-up with members for casual, open conversations. Visit the  to join or email membership@womenintrucking.org. Once you鈥檝e joined, you can find other members in your area or plan meet-ups while you鈥檙e traveling or on the road.
