LEADERSHIP HR/TALENT MANAGEMENT
һƷ̽»¨ This Session
For too long, women in male-dominated industries like trucking have been told there's only room for a few of us at the top. That lie stops here. It’s not enough to break barriers—we have to turn around and shatter them for the women coming up behind us.
Queen Bee Syndrome is the idea that women must hoard knowledge, gatekeep opportunities, or compete against each other. This kind of mindset has no place in modern leadership. If we want lasting change, we must extend a hand back to those following us, not pull up the ladder.
In this talk, I’ll challenge the outdated mindset that pits women against each other, offering a roadmap for building a legacy of collaboration, mentorship, and fearless leadership. Because real power? It’s not in keeping others down, It’s in lifting them up and ensuring everyone has a seat at the table.
Attend this session to:
- Recognize and Dismantle Queen Bee Syndrome
It is imperative to understand and recognize the root causes of Queen Bee Syndrome, why it persists in male-dominated industries, and the damaging impact it has on women’s advancement in trucking and logistics. This session will enable attendees to identify those moments in which Queen Bee Syndrome is creeping in, and effectively dismantle it.
- Embrace a Mentorship and Abundance Mindset
Learn how shifting from competition to collaboration creates more opportunities for women in leadership, strengthens workplace culture, and accelerates industry-wide progress. This session will encourage women to make the shift and give actionable steps to do so!
- Take Action to Lift as You Lead
Gain practical strategies for supporting, mentoring, and advocating for other women in the industry, ensuring that leadership pathways remain open for the next generation of female leaders. Information creates empowerment, and none of us should be afraid to share our knowledge for fear of career regression.
